The body found in the Moose Jaw River Monday evening is that of Timothy Lockard.
The Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) confirmed the identity Tuesday afternoon after notifying Lockard's next of kin, who were out of province.
Lockard, 43, was last seen on July 24.
Emergency service workers were combing the area along the bank of the Moose Jaw River south of Union Hospital Monday evening when they recovered his body.
Sgt. Cliff Froehlich of the MJPS said the coroner's office is examining the body to determine the "cause and manner of death," but that "initial examination has not provided any further indications of foul play."
