A recent armed robbery at a local convenience store is not part of an ongoing trend in crime, says Sgt. Cliff Froehlich of the Moose Jaw Police Service.

The Mac's Convenience Store on the 1200 block of Ninth Avenue Northwest was robbed by two individuals carrying a firearm on Saturday afternoon. Police are continuing their investigation.

“Is it something that we are concerned about? Yes, it is. Is it something that we feel is an ongoing, or epidemic-type thing? No, it's not at this time because our numbers show that,” Froehlich told the Times-Herald on Tuesday.
