Fire calls

The Moose Jaw Fire Department responded to one call for service between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday, involving a train derailment in the RM of Caron.


Police calls

The Moose Jaw Police Service responded to 40 calls for service between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday, including seven 911 calls, six curfew checks, two disputes, two noise complaints, two cases of mischief that are still under investigation and three disturbances.

One of the disturbances – 600 block of Saskatchewan Street West – resulted in the arrest of a man on outstanding warrants.

Police also responded to theft from a motor vehicle on the 1200 block of Gordon Road, as well as a hit and run on the zero block of Thatcher Drive East. Damage was estimated at $3,000.

A routine traffic stop on Third Avenue Northwest at Stadacona Street resulted in a suspended driver found to be at the wheel. The vehicle was seized for 30 days.
