Environment Canada

EC put out an alert at 4:25 a.m. stating hot humid conditions will push humidex values into the 40's this afternoon. These conditions will ease early in the evening.

Areas that are under the warning include Moose Jaw, Caronport, Craik, Central Butte, Rouleau and others.

The exteme heat can put everyone at risk, EC says, but health risks are greatest for older adults, infants and young children, people with chronic breathing issues, heart conditions or psychiatric illnesses.

Those people that work in the heat, exercise in the heat, people without air conditioning and homeless people can also be at risk.

Take precaution by drinking plenty of liquids, especially water to decrease risk of dehydration.

Much of the province in under the same heat alert.
