The Moose Jaw Fire Department responded to two calls for service between 7 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday. The responses were to an activated fire alarm on the 1400 block of Grandview Street West and an overheated appliance on the 1300 block of Ninth Avenue Northwest.
The Moose Jaw Police Service responded to 59 calls for service between 7 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday, including nine 911 calls, four disputes, four noise complaints that resulted in one noise violation ticket being issued, three breached court orders, several intoxicated individuals and a hit and run on the 100 block of Fairford Street East.
Police also responded to three mischief complaints. First, several vehicles on the 100 block of Fairford Street East were found to have vehicle windows smashed. Second, children were throwing rocks at a neighbour’s vehicle, causing damage. Both of those incidents are still under investigation.
An adult male that caused damage in a family member’s home on the 600 block of Fairford Street East was the third mischief complaint.
A male was found in possession of marijuana on the 300 block of River Park Drive. He was charged and issued a ticket for minor possession of alcohol.
Police charged an adult male and female with possession of stolen property on Ninth Avenue Northwest at Athabasca Street, and are still investigating the theft of an air conditioner on the 600 block of Athabasca Street East.
Still under investigation is a runaway teenager from a gas station on the 1600 block of Main Street North and fraud from an online dating website on the 1200 block of Iroquis Drive.
At 4a.m., a four-year-old was found missing from the family home. About 20 minutes later police found the child a block from the home. The child was unharmed.
