Top 10

Check out our list of top 10 movies filmed here:

10. Vampire Dog

Fang, a 600-year-old talking vampire dog made an appearance in Moose Jaw back in 2011 for this family-friendly flick. A local home was used for filming, as was Crescent Park.

9. 13 Eerie

It seems like a lot of horror movies are filmed in the Friendly City and for 13 Eerie, zombies were roaming the streets. Film producer Kevin Dewalt said his former home city was the perfect spooky location to make this zombie flick. Filming took place at Moose Jaw's old animal park where a set was built.

8. Hollywood Flies

Moose Jaw never looked so good once this cast rolled into town. Maxim cover girl Caprice and actor Vinnie Jones star in this thriller about a road trip from Las Vegas to Los Angeles.

7. The Wisher

Also known as Spliced, this film takes places in a small town where teenager Mary is obsessed with horror movies. But her life soon becomes the horror story once the Wisher starts stalking her. This film brought former heartthrob Drew Lachey of 98 Degrees into town. They filmed in the Cineplex Galaxy theatre and there was even a car chase scene down Main Street.

6. Surveillance

This independent thriller is set in Nebraska but was filmed in the Friendy City and starred Bill Pullman. With a budget of $3.5 million, Moose Jaw was chosen as a filming location because it was low budget to film here. The film also made its way into Cannes 2008.

5. Chained

A psychotic serial-killing cab driver is on the lose in Moose Jaw! Well he was when this movie was filmed here in 2011. Director Jennifer Lynch was so impressed with filming in Moose Jaw, that she had to come back for more.

I'm glad I found this article. I'm doing research for the fourth book in my 'Ian McBriar Murder Mystery' series, set in the 1970's, about a police officer from Esterhazy, Saskatchewan. In the series, the title character's mother was an old movie buff. Check out my website for more information: .
