Luhning told the Times-Herald she is seeking a third councillor term, because she believes there is still more work she can do for the city, particularly working to change outdating ways of doing business at city hall.
“There are things we do that have been done for years, if not decades,” Luhning said, adding Moose Jaw must grow its population and increase the number of local jobs available in order to prosper into the future.
One major area the 39-year-old financial advisor believes needs updating is communication at city hall. She said various municipal departments must communicate better with council, council must communicate better with administration and the city must communicate better with the citizens of Moose Jaw.

Part of the way to achieve this, according to Luhning, is modernizing the city website, offering more efficient online access to city information and services.
Luhning said council should also take a thorough look at city bylaws and consider what works and what doesn’t, in an effort to spend less money where it isn’t necessarily best spent.
“Because there isn’t a lot of new money to go around.”

Exactly, get rid of RSH and MDF; re-elect Swanson and Luhning. At least they leave off the sugar-coating and tell it like it is ! Hard working - always ready for the council meeting -as opposed to some of the others who just show up with their their rubber stamps. One more term as councillor for Luhning and then she should run for mayor.
