Joan McMaster has decided to try for another term with the PSSD

Having been on the Prairie South School Division board trustee for over 10 years now, Joan McMaster announced Wednesday she will be running again.

McMaster said the decision to run was not an easy one, however, after giving the decision a lot of thought felt she still had something unique to bring to the table.

“The reason I decided to run again is because I still (feel) I can bring a really good and different perspective to the board.”

McMaster said because of her line-of-work and its connection to the city’s youth, she feels she has a better understanding of their needs and can bring that to the board’s table.

After serving on the board for more than a decade, McMaster said she also feels having some continuity and past history on the board is an important asset and can play a role in the future of the board.
