Findlay files nomination form

Findlay first to announce intention to seek re-election to council

On Wednesday, incumbent candidate Coun. Mary-Dell Findlay was the only person to file her nomination papers at city hall.

She had already announced she would be running again for council. Findlay was elected for the first time in 2006.

As of yet, Findlay and Regina Sagal-Hendry are the only members of the current council to announce they are running for re-election. Mayor Dale McBain and Councillors Al Schwinghamer and Darin Chow have all announced they are not running for re-election. Councillors Dawn Luhning and Brian Swanson have yet to indicate their intentions.
