It was a big week in the world of Hollywood.
The much anticipated Sex and The City 2 came out in theatres, Dancing with the Stars crowned its new champion, a number of Hollywood feuds made their way into the headlines and the best and worst beach bodies were displayed on the cover of Star magazine.
As it is every year around this time, celebrity bodies come under close observation to see who has and who doesn't have "it."
However, what is it?
As I looked through my Star magazine the other day, checking out who it thought had the best and worst beach bodies, I was floored to discover that because Teri Hatcher, 45, had a small amount of cellulite on the back of her upper thigh, she was considered a beach bomb.
First of all Hatcher is 45. When the picture displayed was taken, she was walking on the beach — in the sand. No one looks good trekking through the sand — really. And third, it really doesn't even look bad. If you were to look at the rest of her body I would probably guess there are 25-year-olds who wish they looked that good.
As for the beach babes, it was easy to see why they picked who they picked.
Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry and Cheryl Crow all look absolutely amazing — in this magazine. However it's funny how fast the mighty can fall. In similar magazines these three beauties have just as much a chance of landing on the other side of the beach as Hatcher does being featured as Hollywood's hottest beach body.
All it takes is one bad picture and I am sure we all know how easy it is to be caught not looking perfect.
However, even when stars are looking their best they still seem to be criticized for it.

Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) is known for three things; the stars, the dancing and the amazing costumes — however revealing.
Dancers have always been known for baring skin during dance competitions.
It was reported that after an amazing performance by (DWTS) second runner up, Erin Andrews, an ESPN anchor, Elizabeth Hasselbeck of The View, knocked the 32-year-old for wearing a barely-there costume. She even went as far as to reference Andrews' convicted stalker, pointing out if he would have just waited 12 weeks he could have seen Andrews' in almost nothing anyways.
After the damage was done and Andrews had a chance to have her say on the matter, a remorseful Hasselbeck called to apologize. However the story said she did so only after being urged to by her five-year-old daughter.
Furthermore, who is Hasselbeck to judge barely there? When she made her TV debut it was on the first season of Survivor and I can remember many-a-time when all the now-32-year-old was wearing was a scrunched up Survivor tube-top kind-of- thing and bikini bottoms.

However, going from speaking about the barely-there to the in-your-face fashions of Sex and The City 2, Hasselbeck and the rest of the ladies from The View welcomed the cast of Sex and The City to the show Friday morning.
Talking about the movie, friendship and their real life challenges, it was nice to see that the four ladies who play Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda are just as close in real life as on screen.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon have brought back four of the world's favourite women for all to enjoy.
Having now seen the movie, I can say I know 100 per cent what the buzz was all about.
It had fashion, friendship, outrageous storylines, love and heartache. Taking place two-years after the first movie, Sex and The City 2 focuses more on marriage, children, family and, of course, fashion. During her interview on The View, Parker told the ladies she had 41 costume changes, but joked the movie could have done better, stating, "we've done better."
As for me, I was once again blown away. I have to admit there were a few scenes where you want to jump through the screen and slap Samantha for her actions, shake Charlotte into reality and tell Carrie she is once again making the biggest mistake of her life, but that is what is so fun about this movie.
All the things you want to do for these characters are the same reactions you would have to your own friends, because after 13 years of growing with these ladies, you kind of feel like you are the fifth, silent friend who has been joining them for lunch each and everyday.
In the media, critics have been criticizing the movie and picking it apart. In my eyes the only way you could do this is if you are not a true Sex and The City fan.
Unless you have watched the show, seen the first movie and continued to watch that movie over and over and over again, of course you are not going to enjoy this movie.
It would be like going to the fifth Harry Potter movie having never seen parts one through four.
I truly have nothing bad to say. All I can say is go and see it and I am crossing my fingers this story doesn't end there.
I love these characters and the bond it has built between myself, my friends and women in general.
To end the love affair women all over the world have been having with Sex and The City after 13 years, would not only be cruel, but uncalled for.
So here is hoping for Sex and The City 3.
Until then I will be watching Sex and The City 2 each and every time I see it on TV just as I know the rest of you will be doing right along with me.
