The Moose Jaw Art Guild is holding an opening reception today to unveil their new winter art exhibit at the Moose Jaw Museum and Art Gallery.
The Art Guild's winter exhibition will be on display from now until early January and will feature over 30 pieces of art created by 16 guild members.
“It’s mostly 2D work,” said guild vice chair Jean Bell, “so it’s oil, acrylic, water color, pencil, chalks. And then we have 3D work which is needle felted, pottery and basketry.”
The museum has invited local pianist Cora Melanson to provide a little live music during the reception and there will also be refreshments served, including snacks and spirits.
“The art guild members themselves bring quite a lovely assortment,” said Bell.
The reception takes place today at 7:30 p.m. and is held in conjunction with the Artist-to-Artist Afternoon.
