Congratulations to the Moose Jaw Humane Society on it’s successful Bone-anza Days fundraiser.
With every available ticket sold, the animal shelter will realize a nice profit from this year’s event.
Of course, the fact the society received so many incredible gifts for the fundraiser means most of the money raised will be profit. Those businesses that donated so generously are also to be commended.
Bone-anza Days is a popular fundraiser here for a few reasons. Next to children, animals seems to tug at the heartstrings most. Even people who don’t have pets still want to know someone is looking out for stray animals.
And the humane society seems to do an excellent job of finding great prizes for the raffles. From flights to everything a new mom would want, the prize packages were phenomenal.
And the local shelter does a pretty good job of marketing itself and making people aware of its projects.
It all comes together for success.
