Coffey, Carter, Dressler and Stellick coming to Moose Jaw
Another year, another star-studded lineup for the 21st Annual Sports Celebrity Banquet. The Moose Jaw Kinsmen Club and title sponsor K+S Potash Canada have announced that tickets are on sale now for the Feb. 2 dinner at the Heritage Inn.
“It is an impressive lineup,” said chairman Cory Olafson.
The lineup includes Saskatchewan Roughrider receiver Weston Dressler, Toronto Blue Jay great Joe Carter and second all time defenceman Paul Coffey. Rogers Sportsnet personality and analyst Gord Stellick will be the master of ceremonies for the evening.
This is the second year that K+S Potash has been a title sponsor for the event, as well as many local sponsors.
“K+S Potash has come on board as a title sponsor and their involvement has taken this banquet to the next level. I thought we did that last year, so now we have to try and keep that up,” he said. “Our dozen of sponsors from the local community are also a big factor in this success.”
The club finished their commitment to the Kinsmen Sportsplex, but is still continuing with that partnership. They had a 10-year commitment when they took on the naming rights. They are now focusing on their $100, 000 commitment to Mosaic Place.
“Every dime that is raised by the Kinsmen stays right here in Moose Jaw,” said Olafson. “I think people realize what the money goes to and they feel good about supporting Kinsmen events just because they know that the money is staying in Moose Jaw and staying with the kids.”
Tickets are $150 each with corporate tables of eight available. Those interested should contact Olafson at 631-8893 or Kelvin Bradford at 630-8082.
