Central's Maax Pilsworth lunges to a return a shot during the Moose Jaw Badminton Invitational Tournament Saturday at Peacock.
The two local badminton players have been competing against each other for three years and Saturday the Grade 10s faced each other again in the medal round of the Moose Jaw Invitational Badminton Tournament.
Pilsworth, from Central, beat Lewis, from Cornerstone, 21-17, 21-16 in the medal round. Pilsworth finished second and Lewis third as they had the highest finishes amongst local players.
Kieran Forsberg from Regina O'Neill beat Pilsworth 21-17, 21-7 and beat Lewis 21-7, 21-14 to win the boys title.
Swift Current's Kimiko Espiritu won the girl's singles title. Assiniboia's Jennifer Packet was second and MacKenzie Kuffner from Avonlea was third.
Swift Current's Darby Crozier and Evan Laturnus won the boys doubles title ahead of Avonlea's Kashton Janzen and Ryley Ludwar.
Rodrigo Raimondo and Nizane Torres from O'Neill won the mixed doubles title.
Swift Current's Marjorie Gonzales and Mary Ann Gonzales won the girl's doubles title.
