The Moose Jaw Canucks midget baseball team are feeling good about their chances at the 2010 Midget A Provincials.
They are slotted in a pool with the Lumsden Cubs, Melville Millionaires and Pilot Butte Broncos, teams the Canucks have had lots of success against.
On June 24th, Payton Hillsdon had an exceptional 15 strikeout performance in a complete seven inning game in a 3-0 win over the Broncos. The Canucks also pounded Melville both times they’ve seen them in the PMBL regular season, winning 18-5 and 9-1 in a May 30 double-header and have played the PMBL Midget AA first place team the Cubs tightly all season.
Canucks coach Rod Markewich is liking how everything is shaping up for his team for the tournament.
