The Swift Current Indians only scored in three innings against the Express, but still managed to put up 13 runs against the Express Saturday night at Ross Wells Park.
They put up four runs in the second and the rarely seen eight-spot in the sixth to pile on the damage.
The Express, who were without outfielders Zack Cadet and Fred Atkins as they were writing tests to graduate from their school in California, Cal St. U. Stanislaus, had coach Michael Hunt play leftfield. He was later replaced by pitcher Arturo Maltos-Garcia and Mike Rahrich played in right as regular rightfielder Dustin Silva got an inning in on the mound and struck out the side in the ninth inning.
With the win, the Indians improved their season record to 29-10 and the Express are now 16-22.
The Express play Sunday night at 7 p.m. against the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets. WMBL.ca has the game listed to start at 2 p.m., that is incorrect.
