The Briercrest Clippers men’s basketball team won their first two games of the season completing a weekend sweep of Medicine Hat College.
The Clippers beat the Rattlers 109-98 in overtime Saturday after beating them 86-81 Friday in front of a packed house in Caronport.
Lucas Goltz led the Clippers Saturday with 32 points, six rebounds and eight assists. Mike Erickson connected on 8-for-12 from beyond the three-point arc to score 30 points.
The Clippers made 15-of-29 three-point shots and were 28-38 from the free throw line.
Friday, Erickson scored 20 points and hit six three-point shots while adding seven rebounds. Gradyn Childerhose led the Clippers with 27 points and eight rebounds.
The Clippers are now 2-6 in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference action.
