Vanier’s basketball teams split their opening games at the Ned Andreoni Memorial Invitational Tournament Friday.
The Spirits girls team beat Saskatoon Bethlehem 75-43 as Kehlsie Crone scored 21 to lead Vanier and Alisha Amey added 15 points.
The Vikings boys team dropped their opener 69-53 to Bethlehem.
Payton Hillsdon scored 17 points to lead the Vikings, while James Wattam added 10. Mike Salud scored 27 points and John Erenea added 25 for Bethlehem.
The Spirits will play at 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday to conclude the round robin tournament.
The Vikings games are scheduled for 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
