The Caronport Cougars senior boys basketball team came into Tuesday’s game without one of their most efficient scorers, swingman Daniel Nelson.
The Cougars could have used Nelson’s firepower around the basket and his touch on the perimeter as they played second place Riverview/Cornerstone Royals Tuesday in at the Riverview Collegiate gym as lost to the Royals 92-34.
Royals head coach Dwight Cameron has tried to put more of an emphasis on the defensive side of the ball and feels if his club can do that, they could make a deep run into the playoffs this year.
