The Vanier Spirits won their first senior girls city basketball title since 1988 with an 82-35 win over the Peacock Toilers Tuesday.
The teams were tied after a quarter, but the Spirits went on a 16-0 run to break the game open.
Kehlsie Crone scored 35 points to lead the Spirits, while Alisha Amey added 21.
Jenna Stevenson led the Toilers with eight points and Jessica Williams added seven more.
