It was a good day all around for local hoops schools. Peacock senior boys Toilers, Riverview/Cornerstone Royals and the Vanier Spirits all won the regional tournaments on their homecourts and move on to Hoopla Mar. 18-20 in Saskatoon. On Saturday in the regional finals, the Toilers beat Warman 92-58 to move on in the 4A division, the Royals beat the shorthanded 3A Regina Scott team 87-63 and the Spirits beat 3A team from Lumsden 90-47. The Central Cyclones also hosted a 4A boys regional final, but lost in the finals to Regina Martin 76-62.
In Prince Albert, the Central Cyclones senior girls team lost to top seeds Prince Albert Carlton 54-29 in the finals.
Notre Dame, who hosted the 3A senior girls regionals, narrowly beat Caronport 47-39. Rockglen lost to Middle Lake in 1A girls action 81-43. In the same division, Central Butte lost to Southey 55-41, Middle Lake beat Mortlach in the 1A senior boys division 74-65.
