The University of Saskatchewan Huskies won their first ever Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) men’s basketball title and one of the big reasons why was the 6'8 post presence Peacock alumni player, Troy Gottselig.
Gottselig scored 22 points, had eight rebounds and was named the tournament MVP after the Huskies defeated the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa Ont.
Caronport's Trevor Nerdahl, who played with Briercrest College on his way to the Huskies, also touched the W.P McGee trophy.
