Amber Holland’s record dropped to 1-3 at the Roar of the Rings Olympic curling trials in Edmonton following a 10-4 loss to Stefanie Lawton.
Lawton and Holland entered the game as part of a five-team group tied at 1-2 in the standings.
Holland took a 3-1 lead after three end and led 3-2 when Lawton broke the game open in the fifth end with a huge steal of four points.
Holland close the gap to 7-4 but Lawton scored three with the hammer in the eighth end finish the game off.
Cheryl Bernard remains unbeaten at 4-0, while Shannon Kleibrink is alone in second with a 3-1 record. Lawton joins Krista McCarville and Jennifer Jones at 2-2.
