Two accomplished rinks at the Bushell Park Curling Club Wednesday during regular season action of the Western Honda Super League.
Defending Super League champion team skipped by Alan Batty clashed heads with six time champions from the Mark Herbert rink.
The defending champ from Assiniboia won the game 8-5.
Batty got a pair of three-enders in the fourth and seventh ends gave him all the offence he needed to beat Herbert.
“It was a well fought battle,” said Batty. “The three-ender in the third was huge against Mark, that gave us some leeway.”
