It was a game too good not to go to an extra end.
Wednesday night in the Western Honda Super League quarter-finals, Joel Jordison’s Seaborn Agency rink climbed out of a six point hole, but couldn’t finish off a phenomenal comeback as Ron Lucas made the hammer count in the 11th end to win 9-8.
Jordison fell behind 7-1 after four ends, but stole points in the eighth, ninth and 10th ends to tie the game.
In other quarter-final action at Bushell Park, Kelly Kesslering score four points in the ninth end to earn an 8-3 win over Chadd McKenzie. George Frechette scored one in the 10th end to beat Mark Herbert 7-6.
Al Batty and Ryan Wenarchuk will play their quarter-final game Sunday at 1 p.m. The winner will meet Lucas, while Kesslering and Frechette will face each other in the other semifinal.
