Former Moose Jaw skip Amber Holland was involved in two very close games Monday at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Sault St. Marie, Ont. Despite the fact that both matches came down to the wire and were back and forth kind of kinds,  one could argue that the two games were in some ways, opposites of each other.

For one, the results were different as Holland beat the previously unbeaten Team Ontario 7-6, skipped by Krista McCarville and lost in the evening game to Jill Thurston of Team Manitoba 9-7.

Another reason is that how the momentum shifted in each game. Holland had a 5-1 lead after five ends against McCarville who clawed her way back with a steal of three in the seventh end to make the game a nail biter.

Against Thurston, Holland was down 7-2 after seven ends but answered with a deuce in the eighth and miraculously scored three points total in the ninth and tenth without the hammer to tie the game. Thurston got a deuce with the hammer in the extra end to win.
