Saskatoon’s Darrell McKee spoiled Joel Jordison’s bid to repeat at the SaskTel men’s provincial tankard curling championship.
McKee stole a point in the final end to hang on to win 9-5 in Sunday’s final.
The lead changed hands six times and Jordison led 5-4 heading into the ninth end where McKee took two with the hammer to to grab a 6-5 lead.
Jordison and his rink of third Scott Bitz, second Aryn Schmidt and lead Dean Hicke curl out of Bushell Park.
McKee and his Saskatoon Nutana rink of third Bruce Korte, second Roger Korte and lead Rob Markowsky will now represent Saskatchewan at the 2010 Tim Hortons Brier in Halifax from Mar. 6-14.
