Ralph Courtnage says he likes to put on a good show.
The local curling skip certainly has a flair for the dramatic.
For the second week in a row in the Moose Jaw Ford Cash League playoffs Courtnage scored two in the 10th end and then stolen a point in the 11th. Thursday’s 9-8 comeback win over Steve Slupski’s Nelson GM/Viterra rink puts him in the Ford Cash League final next Thursday at the Hillcrest.
There Courtnage will meet Ron Johnson and his Moose Jaw Toyota rink who beat Warren Marcotte’s Medi Chair/Keon team 7-5.
“We’re happy to be in the final,” said Courtnage. “I like competitive curling. The more competitive it gets, the more fun it is.
“I like the games that come down to the wire. Most of them don’t.”
