With a full league once again this year, the Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre was filled with teams on Wednesday evening for the opening night of the Original 16 Cash League.

With some new teams and a good core of returning teams, the action got underway with 16 teams competing and two teams on a bye week.

All teams will compete in a double round robin with eight teams advancing to the playoffs from each pool.

For Wednesday evening, Aspen Dental defeated Penny Barker’s rink 9-2 and Seaborn Agencies edged Steve Slupski’s rink 5-4. Golden West Radio defeated the Chow & McLeod rink by a 7-5 score and DFA Transport scored three in the eighth end to defeat Flexi-Finger 6-4. Easy Care Living had easy work of Bill Ross’ rink with a 9-1 score and Keons edged Lloyd Luhning’s rink 5-4. The Courtnage rink blanked the Dupont rink in five ends to win 8-2 and Protec Video edged Johns Music 8-7.
