It took six draws, but Moose Jaw’s Lorraine Arguin finally dropped a game at the Affinity CU Senior Women's Provincial Championship Friday.

Arguin and her Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre foursome lost 10-5 to Yorkton’s Cathy Ingliss in a battle of the two unbeaten teams in Martensville.

Arguin and her rink of third Donda Lee Deis, second Shelley Urquhart and lead Aline Kirk opened the day with an 9-4 win over Merle Kopach from the Saskatoon Granite.

Arguin had booked her place in the semifinals and fare no worse than second despite losing to Ingliss.

Ingliss stole three in the second end to go ahead 4-0, but Arguin struck back with three of her own in the third end. In the end, it was another three-ender by the Yorkton rink that put the game out of reach.

Against Kopach, Arguin scored four in the sixth end to broke open a close game and grab a 6-3 lead.

Arguin will conclude the round robin with a game against Prince Albert’s Jacqueline Swiderski this morning.
