It was a perfect start for Moose Jaw’s Ryan Wenarchuk at the Dominion provincial curling club championship Friday.

Wenarchuk and his Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre rink of Greg Wells, Brian Mohns and Tim Best won both of their games in Ituna.

They opened by beating Doug Horn 7-3 and then beat Jess Franklin 5-4. They will meet Corey Martins Saturday at noon in an A semifinal.

In the women’s Dominion championships in Rosetown, Elaine Osmachenko and her Moose Jaw rink lost their opener 9-2 to Nicole Beausoleil.

Osmachenko and her rink of Tina Hill, Lorraine Arguin and Rebecca Venn will face Alana Ritz in the B event Saturday morning.
