The three-team format for Moose Jaw high school football isn't something that is intended to be permanent, according to high school athletic director Larry Segall..
Segall said the first priority is to find teams for the Moose Jaw league but failing that, preliminary talks loking at bringing the Moose Jaw teams into a Regina or southern Saskatchewan league have begun.
"I think everybody feels that a three-team league will not last for long," said Segall of the Moose Jaw circuit. "It's certainly not what we want and everybody's sort of of the feeling that we can live with this for one year, but we're looking to either expand our league next year, start up a new league or get into Regina."
For this year, though, the Central Cyclones, Peacock Tornadoes and Vanier Vikings are the lone three entries into the Moose Jaw league and teams may be able to practice as early as late next week.
