Gord Meriam, an undersized Grade 10 back, ran hard for the Tornadoes in his first start as he led all rushers with 61 yards.
Peacock opened the scoring when Huschi connected with Adam Bachiu for a five-yard touchdown. Bachiu set up the score with a 51-yard catch and run.
“Our offensive line played pretty well, but we can still do better,” said Bachiu, who finished with 61 yards receiving on three catches. “Some plays we’re not executing as good as we wanted to. We’re getting there.”
Huschi found Cullen Best for a 19-yard touchdown early in the third quarter as the Tornadoes doubled their lead. Huschi finished with 171 yards passing.
