Residents of the Bentley Retirement Community held their monthly read-out this week with Laura Taylor as the organizer.
Eileen Hepworth spoke about the Willow Bunch giant and Eloise Ritchie read the piece, My Ballerina.
Other readers were Bob Templeton, Isabelle Downy, Helen Caswell, Betty Young, Erie Champion, Ruth Swanson, Laura Taylor and Dorothy Evans, who spoke about her recent 90th birthday and what it was like to be 90. She credits family and friends as the flowers in her longevity.

Group 104 Alcoholic Anonymous has reopened and meets upstairs at 305 Fairford St. W. Meetings are held Monday to Saturday at noon and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 and 8 p.m. Information is available by calling 788-2019 or 681-7603.
Christian Counselling Centre
The 17th annual mixed Texas scramble golf tournament, sponsored by the Moose Jaw Christian Counselling Centre, will be held Saturday at the Deer Ridge Golf Course. The registration fee will include 18 holes of golf, dinner and prizes. Registration information is available by calling 692-5500.
