Moose Jaw's Lorie Boyle and Ken Bradley are hoping to extend a pair of streaks this week in Yorkton.
When the local golfers tee off today for the opening round of the Saskatchewan Golf Association's senior men's and senior women's championship, Boyle will be searching for her fourth straight title and Bradley will be aiming to make the provincial team for the third year in a row.
"I'm feeling good about my game," said Boyle. "I've been striking the ball pretty good."
While Boyle won her third straight senior title by 13 strokes at the Hillcrest last year, she said her focus is on her play and nothing more.
"I never worry about winning until that last day. I just take it step by step," she said. "I'm out there for a goal to try to play my personal best every day and that's what I'm out there to do."
Boyle just returned from finishing second at a tournament in Weyburn after posting a pair of 74s in the two-round event. She lost by a stroke. A week ago she comfortably defended her Moose Jaw city title.
"That was a good showing. I was happy with my play," said Boyle. "My putting was a little iffy up there, but as I caught on to the greens it was a lot better."
