Bearchell is tied with Carnduff's Kris Carley.

Trevor Benson from the Lynbrook shot an eight-over 79 and is tied for 63rd. Benson had a pair of birdies, but eight bogeys and a double-bogey set him back.

Nick Lepine from the Lynbrook is sitting at 14-over and tied for 89th after the first round and Mike Flegel from the Hillcrest was two-over at the turn before have a rough back nine and finishing at 17-over for the round. He is tied for 93rd.
