It is highly likely that Morgan Rielly will only play one season of midget AAA hockey with the Notre Dame Hounds.
The 15-year-old defenceman is making the most of it.
The Moose Jaw Warriors top pick in the last Western Hockey League Bantam draft tallied an eye-popping 11 points in two games this past weekend.
“I got a couple good bounces this weekend, but I think I’ve been playing pretty good lately,” said Rielly who has points in 10 of his last 11 games.
Rielly had two goals and four assists Saturday in a 16-4 over Battlefords. The next night the Hounds thumped a playoff bound Beardy’s team 11-5 as Rielly netted two goals and added three more assists.
Rielly has 13 goals and 27 assists in 34 games and is the top scoring defenceman in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League.
