The Moose Jaw Warriors are making the long trip home with a losing record on their west coast road trip.
The silver lining is that the sub-500 trip hasn’t pushed them out of a playoff spot.
The Warriors lost 3-1 to the Tri-City Americans Tuesday night and finished 2-4 on their road trip. The Warriors are tied for seventh place with Swift Current in the Western Hockey League’s Eastern Conference. They are three points ahead of Prince Albert.
The Warriors return home Wednesday for a few days before heading to Medicine Hat Saturday.
Brendan Rowinski scored his 29th goal of the season on a first period power play to tie the game for the Warriors.
Johnny Lazo, Patrick Holland and Brooks Macek scored for the Americans.
Jeff Bosch made 27 saves for the Warriors. Drew Owsley made 34 saves to earn the win for Tri-City.
