Scott Bolland’s short-handed goal was the game winner as the Notre Dame Hounds beat the Moose Jaw AAA Warriors 3-1 in Game 2 of their best-of-five Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League quarter-final series. The series is now tied 1-1.
Brayden Holloway scored a power-play goal in the first period to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead.
Blaine Thomson tied the game for the Hounds before Bolland put them ahead. Marcus Messier added a third period insurance marker.
Matt Gibney made 36 saves in the loss for the Warriors, while Riley Parker stopped 22 shots for the Hounds.
The Warriors were 1-for-7 on the power play and the Hounds were 0-for-6 with the man advantage.
