The Moose Jaw Warriors scored on the first shift Tuesday and kept rolling as they beat the Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-0 in Western Hockey League action.
Dylan Hood scored 36 seconds into the game as the Warriors picked up two vital points.
The Warriors remain in seventh in the Eastern Conference and are eight points ahead of the Prince Albert Raiders who are in ninth place. The Raiders only have six games remaining.
Swift Current beat Regina 5-2 to eliminate the Pats from playoff contention. Swift Current is still a point behind the Warriors.
Jeff Bosch made 31 saves to post his league-leading sixth shutout of the season.
Chad Suer, Quinton Howden and Spencer Edwards also scored for the Warriors.
The Warriors will travel to Medicine Hat Wednesday to face the Tigers. The Warriors are only five points behind the sixth place Tigers.
