For the third straight game the Moose Jaw Warriors fell behind.

This time there was no comeback coming.

The Prince Albert Raiders built a 3-0 lead after the first period and skated away with a 5-1 win Saturday night. The Warriors had come from behind to win their two previous games.

They’ve surrendered the first goal in six of their previous seven games.

Friday, the Raiders took a 2-0 lead after the first period, but the Warriors rallied for a 3-2 win.

Saturday, the Raiders once again took the game to the Warriors in the early minutes, but the visitors were doing a good job of weathering the storm until the Raiders tallied three times in 3:43 late in the first period.

Mike Winther scored twice and Josh Morrissey added another to give the Raiders the three-goal advantage.

Dakota Conroy added to the Raiders’ lead in the second period.

Justin Kirsch scored his sixth goal of the season — extending his point streak to four games — to get the Warriors on the board. Kirsch’s power play goal broke up Luke Siemens’ shutout bid, but failed to get the Warriors back in the game.

Winther finished off his hat trick with with 4:19 left in the third period.

Leon Draisaitl assisted on the first three Raider goals.

Siemens finished with 27 saves.

Daniel Wapple made 25 saves for the Warriors.

The Warriors host the Medicine Hat Tigers Sunday (6 p.m., Mosaic Place).
