Saskatchewan fell to 1-1 at the Western Canada Under-16 Hockey Challenge Cup Friday in Calgary.

Saskatchewan lost 4-1 to B.C. as the west coast team scored three times in the final 8:39 to move to 2-0.

Ethan Bear from the Yorkton Harvest scored his third goal of the tournament for Saskatchewan.

B.C.’s Glenn Gawdin — a Swift Current Broncos’ first rounder — scored twice.

Team Sask features Shane Collins, Rykr Cole and Regan Nagy from the Moose Jaw Generals.

Alberta beat Manitoba 8-1 to life their record to 1-1 in Calgary. Alberta will meet Saskatchewan today with a spot in the final on the line.
