The Moose Jaw Warriors lost their seventh straight game Friday.

This time they weren’t even rewarded with a point.

After picking up a point in four of their previous five games, the Warriors came up short in regulation as the Medicine Hat Tigers beat them 5-2 in WHL action.

The Warriors will finish their three-game road trip tonight against the Kootenay Ice. They will host the Lethbridge Hurricanes Monday afternoon (2 p.m., Mosaic Place).

The Warriors record falls to 7-8-3-3 on the season.

Boston Leier scored with 1:33 left in the second period to tie the game for the Tigers at 2-2. Medicine Hat then scored three goals in the third period to skate away with the win.

Hunter Shinkaruk scored his 14th of the season 3:36 into the third to give the Tigers a 3-2 lead. Elgin Pearce scored an insurance goal with 5:52 left in the game before Curtis Valk scored into an empty net.

Defenceman Travis Brown opened the scoring on the Warriors’ first shot of the game. His short-handed goal came 3:23 into the first period.

Tigers defenceman Kyle Becker tied the game with a power play goal midway through the first period.

Sam Fioretti’s 15th goal of the season with 3:57 left in the second period gave the Warriors a 2-1 lead before the Tigers reeled off four unanswered goals.

Cam Lanigan made 29 saves in goal for the Tigers, including a nice post-to-post save to rob Joel Edmundson late in the third period.

Daniel Wapple made 26 saves for the Warriors.
