End two game losing streak on the road

The Moose Jaw Generals scored two power play goals in the third period to stop a two game losing streak.

The Generals defeated the Notre Dame Hounds 5-2 on Thursday evening on the road in Wilcox.

Despite the Hounds scoring first, the Generals scored five straight goals before giving up a late power play marker in the final frame.

Donovan Neuls scored his seventh of the season from Shane Collins and Cohen Yano. The Generals continued to pressure Hounds’ goaltender Eric Williams in the second period with 15 shots. Affiliate player Riley Cannon scored from AP Brayden Delorme and Trey Tendler scored his ninth of the season on the man advantage.

Ben Duperreault scored on the power play at 11:30 of the third period and Regan Nagy added his seven of the season also on the power play a minute and half late to secure the win.

Grant Naherniak made 29 saves on 31 shots for his third win of the season.

The Generals will travel to Saskatoon on Sunday to face the Contacts.
