The Moose Jaw Warriors are turning into streak breakers.

After ending the Kootenay Ice’s five-game winning streak Friday, the Warriors snapped Swift Current’s seven-game winning streak with a 5-2 win Saturday night.

The Warriors scored three straight goals to erase a 1-0 deficit and then Justin Kirsch and Sam Fioretti scored in the final two minutes to ice the win for the Warriors.

Ryon Moser opened the scoring 1:26 into the first period, but Brayden Point tied the game with a power play goal late in the first period.

Bryson Gore gave the Warriors a 2-1 lead in the second period before Tanner Eberle scored on a penalty shot early in the third period.

Reece Scarleet replied for the Broncos 1:37 later to cut the Warriors lead back to a goal.

Kirsch, Fioretti and Point each finished with a goal and an assist each.

Justin Paulic made 18 saves to earn the win.

The Warriors are 16-25-3-6 on the season. They travel to Saskatoon to meet the Blades Sunday at 6 p.m.
