The Moose Jaw Generals remained perfect in the pre-season following a pair of weekend wins over the North Dakota Selects at Mosaic Place.
The Generals beat Selects 6-1 Saturday night and again by a 4-0 score on Sunday afternoon.
The Generals will begin the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League season Saturday when they travel to face the Prince Albert Mintos.
The North Dakota team is based in Grand Forks, but features players from a number of centres. The program is looking to offer the high school-aged players some high-level games before the start of their high school seasons.
Generals 4 Selects 0
Grant Naherniak made 20 saves to earn the shutout in goal.
Dakota Boutin scored twice for the Generals who also got goals from Caleb Riess and Shane Collins. Two of the Generals goals came on the power play.
Generals 6 Selects 1
The team from North Dakota had played in Regina Saturday morning, but got off to a fast start as Brandon Loven scored 2:36 into the game.
Donovan Neuls replied with a pair of goals and Bhody Magnusson also scored as the Generals took a 3-1 lead after a period.
Rykr Cole, Jared Legien and Braydon Delorme also scored for Moose Jaw.
Colby Entz made 39 saves in goal for the Generals, while Holden Kurtz made 37 saves in net for the Selects.
