Hockey Canada fix

A couple more Moose Jaw Warriors are on Hockey Canada’s radar.

After announcing the high performance goalies camp, Hockey Canada released the skaters that were invited to the national under-17 development camp.

The camp will be held July 29 to Aug. 4 in Calgary.

Warriors prospects Brett Howden and Noah Gregor was two of 60 forwards invited to try out.

Moose Jaw Generals defenceman, Dawson Davidson is also on the roster.

Ryan Jankowski, Hockey Canada’s head scout of the men’s national team, along with regional scouts, selected the players invited.

Players will evaluated throughout the season with their club teams and at the three regional under-16 events — the Western Canada U16 Challenge, OHL Gold Cup and QMJHL Excellence Challenge.

There are only two players from the Saskatchewan Hockey Association on the invite list.

This program is the first step in the Hockey Canada’s Program of Excellence.
