The Warriors traded for 19-year-old defenceman Austin Adam on Monday in exchange for a conditional eighth round pick.

Adam, a 6'6, 200-pound Surrey, B.C. native was drafted by the Everett Silvertips in the fourth roun, 68th overall, of the 2010 WHL bantam draft.

Last season, he had one goal and four points in 50 games. In 127 career WHL games, he has four goals and 11 points. Adams also have one point in 10 career playoff games.

Adam is another big addition to the back end for the Warriors, which already inculdes Dallas Valentine at 6'3, Reid Zalitach at 6'1 and Spenser Jensen at 6'4.
