Low, Schoneck and Hetherington entering Warriors' hall of fame

The Moose Jaw Warriors will welcome a couple of famous names from the '90s into this year's hall of fame class.

The Warriors will induct Reed Low and Scott Schoneck into the Conexus Warriors and Legends Hall of Fame in the players category, while Doug Hetherington will be inducted into the builders category.

The Warriors and Legends Hall of Fame weekend will be held Nov. 28-29. The hall of fame banquet will be held Friday, Nov. 28 and the Warriors will host the Saskatoon Blades on Saturday, Nov. 29 in their second hall of fame game.

Low played 123 regular season games with the Warriors between 1995-97. The local product finished with 28 goals, 46 points and 449 penalty minutes.

He played 256 games in the National Hockey League, nearly all of them with the St. Louis Blues. He scored three goals and had 19 points and 725 penalty minutes.

Low currently lives in St. Louis where he works full-time with Ritchie Brothers Auctioneers. He remains active with the Blues Alumni Association, provides colour commentary for Fox Sports Midwest broadcasts and participates in several local charity events.

Schoneck is the Warriors is the all-time leader in points by a defenceman. He scored 53 goals and amassed 209 points in 283 career games with the Warriors from 1995-2000.

After his stellar junior career, the Abbey product attend the University of Saskatchewan where he finished with 97 points in 153 games. He also played two seasons with the Las Vegas Wranglers in the ECHL. In 115 games he had 12 goals and 68 points.

Schoneck has worked for PepsiCo Foods Canada for the last six years.

Hetherington served on the Warriors Board of Directors from 2004-11 and served as the team's Alternate Governor. Hetherington was also an original member of the Multiplex Builders Group.

Hetherington died on January 16, 2011.

Low, Schoneck and Hetherington will be inducted at a ceremony held at the Heritage Inn. Tickets for this event will go on sale Aug. 26 at the Warriors office. Individual tickets are $50 and tables of eight are available for $400.
