The Miss Teen Canada World crown went to none other than a young Moose Javian in Toronto Saturday night.
Siera Bearchell, 16, won the title at the beauty pageant. She will be representing Canada at the Miss Teen World event in Houston, Texas, in August.
Bearchell recently completed her Grade 10 year at A.E. Peacock Collegiate. She won the Miss Teen Saskatchewan World title in April against 18 other competitors.
As part of the Saskatchewan competition, Bearchell focused on disaster relief as her platform, since the issue holds special meaning for her. Her family had gone through a house fire in February of this year.
The other Moose Javian in the competition was Kelsey Keddy, 14, who had been a student at Ecole Ducharme this past year. Keddy had also competed in the Saskatchewan competition in April and had been named Miss Teen World Moose Jaw as a result.
Neither Bearchell nor Keddy was available for comment before press time.
Here is video footage of the event including, right at the end, Bearchell being crowned Miss Teen Canada - World.
